Mushroom Industry Cheer

Yeah. Seem like very great industry since each of the entrepreneurs can bring home RM100 a day with a production of 10 kg of mushrooms. So Who join the program can get RM3000 per month. It better than alot of worker who work hard everyday but only get RM few hundred per month.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu government will provide monetary aid to 22 mushroom cultivators, comprising mostly graduates.

The relief is aimed at boosting the small industry and generating adequate income for the young farmers.

In announcing the RM110,000 fund for the industry, MP for Kuala Terengganu Datuk Razali Ismail said the state government believed that the entrepreneurs would utilise the fund prudently to expand their holdings.

“From the feedback I gathered, each of the entrepreneurs can bring home RM100 a day with a production of 10 kg of mushrooms,”

“This is a profitable business and the entrepreneurs should increase their productivity level if they are eager to see growth,” he said after handing over the monies to the entrepreneurs here on Friday.

The small-scale farming of mushrooms is being carried out in Wakaf Mempelam, Batu Burok and Ladang.

“We hope that this industry could be a global player soon but they should strive harder to tap the international market,” he said.

He added that they could reduce Malaysia's dependency on Thailand for mushrooms.

Razali also unveiled an additional budget of R200,000 for the agriculture sector here pf which a big chunk will be distributed to livestock and aquaculture farmers.
