國民服務 - 非一般任務

記者親身體驗參與國民服務,不一樣的任務,受益無窮!

為了讓媒體親身參與國民服務,國民服務局日前特別安排國內的平面和電子媒體,參觀和留宿雪蘭莪州鄧普勒森林國民服務營地,採訪學員受訓的實際情況。

這項別開生面的兩天一夜入營活動,是在5月5日及6日舉行,每個記者各獲派兩套國民服務制服,第一套是上愛國和國民意識匯報會,以及體能課程的藍色迷彩配長靴軍裝,另一套T恤是供次日的家長開放日。

為期3個月的國民服務訓練,共有4個課程,即體能訓練、國家意識、性格塑造和社區服務,希望這項以培養新一代愛國精神、促進族群融合及塑造團結與文明民族為主要宗旨的計劃,未來能越辦越出色。

瞄準目標
M16萊福鎗射擊,逐漸被家長和學員接受,那種親身拿鎗射擊的感覺,對學員而言是難忘的經驗,使它成為學員最喜愛的項目之一。
使勁划船
划船是項講究團隊精神的活動,彼此之間必須互相配合,才能進行拯救工作。
飛狐訓練
一名學員懸吊在120尺高空中,另一名教官則在下面嚴密監督,兩人借著繩索一拉一收成功降落,據說這是“飛狐”(flying fox)訓練中最簡單的步驟,但足以叫初學者心驚膽跳。
蕉葉當杯
學員就地取材,以蕉葉代杯,招待媒體記者喝茶,小妮子的心思值得一讚!
包紮傷口
學員為受傷的“飛機師”包紮傷口,雖然這只是一項墜機拯救演習,但每人都很認真的完成每個拯救步驟。
教練授招
體能課程教練慕斯達法講解如何在森林中設下陷阱,以防範野獸突如其來的攻擊。
合作搭營
國民服務計劃旨在促進各族學員的交融與團結,即使簡單如帆布搭棚,也講究分工合作,彼此的默契,也逐漸滋長中。
生火煮食
在森林中生火,準備煮飯醫肚,難不倒具有一流探險精神的學員。
分享心得
在完成約兩小時的森林探險后,各組學員輪流分享心得,眾學員拍掌歡呼,情緒高昂!
步伐一致
操步是學員每日指定動作,甫入營一個月半的本年度第二批學員,步伐一致,表現有目共睹。

Assessment to replace UPSR and PMR

Proposal for the abolishment of two major public examinations – the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in Year Six and the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) in Form Three need to futher study and investigation from others party like school management, teacher society, parents and education professional.


Maybe this proposal is good but we need to consider many others factor like teacher skill, sofware & hardware equipment and etc. Nowadays, alot of parents give their children study in extra tuition class. I quite pity them who need to attend tuition class, music class and so on after they school class and do home work until midnight. My neighbour son who in secondary school and he always say boring during school class. He very look towards holiday school because no need to attend so many classes and do alot of homework. I thinking that is that our education sytem force their parents to do so or their parents "kia su" as singaporian always say?

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (MES) has proposed the abolishment of two major public examinations – the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in Year Six and the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) in Form Three.

Its director Datuk Dr Adi Badiozaman Tuah said there would be no public examination at the primary and lower secondary levels following the proposed introduction of school-based assessment.

“If this is approved, the UPSR will be conducted for the last time in 2012 and the PMR in 2015,” he said.

The MES has proposed five forms of assessment for students in the national education system. These will be piloted in the 30 pioneer cluster schools next year. They are:

  • SCHOOL assessment – planned, developed, conducted, examined and reported by teachers in schools.
  • CENTRAL assessment – involving standards, instruments, data analyses and guidelines provided by the MES.
  • CENTRAL examination – fully conducted by the MES.
  • PSYCHOMETRIC tests – used to measure students’ innate abilities.
  • PHYSICAL activity assessment – used to evaluate and measure students’ performance and involvement in extra-curricular activities.

    The MES has recommended that only the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia for Form Five students be retained as a public, central examination at the upper secondary level.

    Chinese educationists want seven clauses withdrawn

    How come our chinese education fortune's wheel is undulating. Previuosly, all students from independent school not waive for the PMR and SPM examination fees. As all know chinese community is very concern about their children education. In chinese words "再穷不能穷教育, 再苦不能苦孩子 ". All malaysian chinese MUST wake up and fight for our children future.

    The Government must withdraw the seven requirements pertaining to the relocation of Chinese primary schools, the Dong Jiao Zong (United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia) said.

    Dong Zong chairman Dr Yap Sin Tian and Jiao Zong chairman Ong Chiow Chuen issued a joint statement to oppose the matter, the Nanyang Siang Pau headlined.

    They also demanded that Deputy Education Minister Datuk Hon Choon Kim make his stand clear.

    The requirements are:

    1. All parents must agree to the relocation of school in writing and submit it to the Education Ministry.

    2. The board of directors and the Parent-Teacher Association are responsible for the construction of school buildings as well as the location of the new site.

    3 & 4. The proposed site must be in an area with a high demand for Chinese schools and not on a government school reserve land.

    5 & 6. Details of the new site and building plan must be submitted to the Education Ministry for approval.

    7. Once relocated, operations at the old school site must cease completely.

    The umbrella non-governmental organisation for Chinese educationists and school committees said the requirements have completely denied Chinese schools any status in the country’s education system.

    暗示恐嚇是黑社會大哥 匪心理戰勒索3拉曼生

    (吉隆坡訊)兩名匪徒無需動用任何武器,只是使用黑社會份子慣用的心理戰術恐嚇3名少年,就成功威脅他們交出提款卡任由提款,臨走時連受害者的手機和手提電腦也取走。

    受害者形容恐嚇者根本就是劫匪,雖然過程沒有動刀動槍,但那種暗示背後有黑社會勢力的勒索是令人害怕的。他們3人一共被拿掉700令吉現款、3台價值2000餘令吉的手機和1台2700令吉的手提電腦。

    受害的3名少年都是拉曼學院生,他們3人都住在宿舍。他們週六(28日)下午12時許在旺沙馬朱一間購物中心逛街時,被匪徒盯上輕拍他們的肩膀,表示其中一人涉及毆打他的朋友,並要求他們在一間快餐店等待認人。

    其中一名受害者(19歲)說,他們3人被帶到快餐店時一頭霧水,但是對方總共有兩人,其中一人的語氣不斷暗示他們是黑社會大哥,表示有手下被人打傷了,因此要確認他們的身分後才可以放人。

    取走提款卡到銀行拿錢

    “他首先拿走我們的提款卡,再抄下我們的身份證號碼和密碼,表示要確認我們是否持卡人,如果我們騙他,他恫言會對我們不利,他還說他的手下被圍毆時遭人搶走手機和手提電腦。”

    “結果我們的手機和手提電腦也被充公了,他們說要拿回去檢查是否他手下的失物,我們後來越想越不對勁,馬上去提款機檢查,發現裡面的現款都被提走。”

    他們已向冼都警方報案,相信匪徒提款時一定被閉路電視拍到真面目,他們要求其他同學提高警惕勿再上當。

    王超群:從中國引進不合邏輯 解決師荒勿捨近求遠

    How come our ministry of education intend to bring in teachers from China than train the local chinese people who very interesting on chinese language teaching. I agree that we can bring in chinese teacher from China, but we MUSt give chance to local chinese people who very interesting on teaching first. If no chinese people want to become a chinese language teacher then we can import more from China. But i think chinese language teachers from China will have some issue since they not know well our culture in Malaysia.

    (芙蓉訊)教總主席王超群指出,政府應該就地取材,以更實際的方法解決國內華文師資不足的問題;聘請國外教師應該是在國內確實無法培訓有關教師後才採取的最後方案。

    他補充,目前大馬並沒有面對這個問題,反而是許多人想當華文教師卻不被錄取;在這種情況下,政府沒有理由’捨近取遠”,從中國引進華文教師,這是不合邏輯的做法。

    他披露,在現階段,國內並不缺乏華文師資人才,每年教育部的師訓招生期間,教總都會接獲許多符合資格的華文組申請者來函要求協助上訴,以爭取參加師訓課程。

    符合資格者未被錄取

    “例如在今年1月開課的師範課程華文組,一共有820位符合條件的華文組申請者,但卻只有300人被錄取,導致許多符合資格的申請者無法進入接受培訓。”

    他週日(4月29日)出席森董聯會舉辦的“55週年會慶聯歡午宴”上致詞時,針對教育部長拿督斯里希山慕丁最近表示教育部將考慮從中國引進師資前來大馬執教一事,發表上述談話。

    王超群指出,在最近3年來,教總不斷接獲教育部官員處理華小師資,包括國中華文教師的問題上出現人為行政偏差的投訴,包括把華文組申請者或學員調到其他組別、把華文組畢業學員派往國小執教和把當初是為了成為華小教師而申請華文組的華裔子弟轉換到國小華文組等問題。

    他強調,教總非常關注上述華文師資的種種問題,因為這會打擊到華裔子弟申請師訓的熱忱,也影響華小及國中華文班師資來源。

    要求與副教長會面

    他披露,基於問題的嚴重性,教總已第一時間致函教育部相關單位,包括教育部副部長拿督韓春錦,要求關注並加以解決這些問題,但這些問題至今不但沒有獲得妥善解決,“我們已在4月25日致函韓春錦要求會面,針對華文師資問題進行交流,共同尋求妥善的解決方案。”

    王超群:影響學習興趣
    243方案弄差華文程度


    王超群指出,根據教總去年進行的調查,華小數理科以英語教學的“2-4-3”方案不但影響華小學生對數理科的學習,甚至導致華小學生的華文程度逐步下降。

    他說,董教總一開始就不同意以兩種語文同時教授數理科的方案,無論是“2-4-3”或“6-2-3-2”方案,因為它實際上是削弱了華小的母語教育體系地位,使華小以母語作為教學媒介語的“最後防線”打開了一個缺口,最後使華小變質。

    他補充,英文教數理的政策推行至今已進入第五個年頭,但教育部至今還未決定華小數理科在2008年小六評估考試的媒介語,“對於教育部一拖再拖,一直在敷衍的做法,我們感到不滿,也許這是政府要在華小全面落實英文教數理的前兆。”

    他表示,董教總籲請華社,尤其是華小三機構及各黨團認清英文教數理導致華小變質及不利學生學習的事實,全力支持董教總,促使政府放棄推行英文教數理的政策。

    他認為,政府也應該檢討並取消這項不符合教育原理並違反母語教育原則的政策,恢復各源流小學以母語作為數理科的教學和考試媒介語。

    翁詩傑:公務局料5月初宣佈 拉曼文憑認可將揭曉

    (吉隆坡訊)高等教育部副部長拿督翁詩傑表示,該部已將通過審核的81項拉曼學院的文憑、高級文憑及國外雙聯的科系呈交到公共服務局進行認可,預料該局會在5月上旬做出相關公佈。

    他說,高教部完成的科系審核有效期限可追溯到7、80年代,換言之,一旦公共服務局宣佈承認拉曼文憑,7、80年代畢業的拉曼生一樣可持拉曼文憑到公共服務領域應徵。

    翁詩傑也是馬華副總會長,他週日(29日)為第一屆國際青年種子志工培訓營主持始業式後重申,承認拉曼文憑並不是為了補選,有關事件不應被政治化。

    “我必須糾正這方面的誤解,拉曼校方於去年開始接觸高教部。
